RE: Updated Schedule

The times given on the schedule are PERFORMANCE times. WARM-UP time begins 36 mins. before the performance time. (24 mins. to actually warm-up, and 12 mins. to walk to the auditorium and line up for entrance to the stage.)
REGISTRATION will be in the hallway outside the HS and MS chorus rooms in Harding Hall of Lipscomb HS. (This is where the monthly MTVA meetings are held. A campus map is also on the MTVA web site.) Remember to bring with you 3 copies of each selection to be performed, with measures numbered. Failure to have measures numbered will result in the lowering of the performance grade. Photocopied music is not allowed unless it is music in the Public Domain. Consult the MTVA Handbook (p. 26, section VII. of the Standing Rules) for more details. The full Handbook can be found at www.mtva.org.
SIGHTREADING adjudication will take place immediately after the performance. A guide will escort choirs to and from each site.
BEING ON TIME is crucial. If you arrive late, we will do our best to work you in, but must give first priority to those choirs who are on time. It would not be fair to make them late due to another choir being tardy. In order to grant all of the many special scheduling requests, the timing of both days is very tight. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR FURTHER CHANGES unless they are absolutely necessary for your participation. Thanks in advance for your help in making this schedule work.
FINALLY, best wishes to all participants. I realize that with the snow days this year, the earlier than usual date is a bit unnerving. Remember that our primary goal is to gain objective and constructive critiques that will assist us in becoming better choirs and choir directors. With that in mind, this ealier date will give us more time left in the school year to make improvements based on those judge's comments and suggestions. Take care. RK & DS.
